April 23, 2020  |  ALL DAY
Clarence Dexter Pierce Day of Giving is Phi Mu Delta National Fraternity's first ever, national day of giving. On April 23rd, beginning at 12:00am (EST), alumni, friends, and collegiate members will be able to give using the link below. The link will not go "live" until 12:00am, so that we may ensure all of the gifts we receive for Day of Giving, count toward our Day of Giving Goals!
The giving form is super simple and should take no more than a few moments to complete! After you give, we encourage you to connect with brothers from your chapter, and encourage them to give as well. Every gift counts, no matter the size, toward helping us celebrate our past and create our future!

It wouldn't be a Day of Giving if we didn't have goals! In alignment with the Educational Foundation's 2018-2020 Biennium Strategic Plan, the following goals have been established for our first ever Day of Giving!

GOAL #1: 200 Total Donors & $20,000 Raised

GOAL #2: 10% Undergraduate Participation

We believe that brothers who choose to give of their time, talent, and/or treasure, are building a bridge for the brothers that will follow them in the years to come. As we celebrate our past and create our future, we ask that our undergraduate members give alongside our alumni and friends, as the support of the Educational Foundation directly impacts their membership, development, and the support the national fraternity has to offer!

Who's up for a challenge?
Our first ever day of giving has a few challenges in store! Join in on the fun, challenge your closest brothers to a give-off and if you have another challenge in mind, let us know via email at hq@phimudelta.org.

THE CLARENCE DEXTER PIERCE BIRTHDAY CHALLENGE

Founder Clarence Dexter Pierce would have been 124 years old on April 23, 2020, our Day of Giving! In celebration of the Father of Phi Mu Delta's birthday, we challenge you to give $124.00!  Join us in wishing Founder Pierce a very happy birthday from the brothers of his fraternity!

THE 1918 UNDERGRADUATE GIVING CHALLENGE

The 1918 Society is the sole-undergraduate giving society. The society's membership includes undergraduate members who have given at least $19.18 to the Educational Foundation. These members receive a 1918 Society lapel pin, and are recognized each year in the Donor Roll alongside our other supporters. Any undergraduate giving $19.18 on Day of Giving, will receive the lapel pin.

What is day of giving?
The Clarence Dexter Pierce Day of Giving is Phi Mu Delta's first-ever, national Day of Giving. This year, and each year following, the Phi Mu Delta Educational Foundation will host a national day of giving, where brothers from around the world will have the opportunity to give back to the fraternity through generous monetary gifts. The 24-hour campaign is an effort to engage collegiate members, alumni, and friends, to make gifts to the Foundation. Any size gifts are welcome. The 2019 event will take focus on April 23rd, 2019, the 123rd birthday of the Father of Phi Mu Delta and Founder, Clarence Dexter Pierce.
How do I participate in Day of giving?
It's super easy! All you have to do is access the Day of Giving platform, fill out a few questions, enter your gift, and click submit. The whole process will take no more than a couple of minutes. And if you want to give back in multiple way, we ask that you reach out to the brothers you are closests to, and remind them to make a gift!
Why donate?
Gifts made to the Phi Mu Delta Educational Foundation directly benefit collegiate members and chapters, allowing the fraternity to provide top-notch educational programming and leadership development opportunities, chapter support, and a plethora of other resources. If you make a gift, we make a promise: we will be good stewards of the gifts you make and use them to advance the Fraternity and Foundation's missions. Giving to the Foundation allows use to celebrate our past while also creating our future, and giving encourages others to do the same.
Do My gifts on day of giving count toward my total annual giving?
Yes! Any gifts made on Day of Giving are counted toward your year-end giving. All gifts are records on the donor's account, and proper credit will be given to the donor at the end of the year.
Is my gift Tax DEDUCTIBLE?
Yes. At the beginning of each January, our Foundation staff and volunteers pull the year's giving records and put together tax letters, which are mailed to your last known address. These tax letters include the Foundation's EIN# (IRS assigned identifier), and your total giving. You will need both of those information points during tax season, to recieve a deduction. Please make sure that if you move during the year or after giving a gift, that you email the National Office and let them know so we can send you letter to the correct address.
Will I receive a receipt?
Yes. As our staff and volunteers comb through gifts and process the gifts made on Day of Giving, you will recieve an email confirmation of your gift for your records. However, this is not an official IRS receipt- those will be mailed mid January.
If I send a gift in the mail, will it count toward the Day of Giving?
Yes. Gifts postmarked by April 24th and sent to the National Office will be counted toward our Day of Giving. The address to our National Office is below:
Phi Mu Delta Educational Foundation
216 Haddon Avenue
Suite 602
Haddon Township, NJ. 08108
Still have questions?

"I give because... I made a lifelong commitment to our Fraternity. I give because I believe in leading by example, and my hope is that my generosity will spark and install generosity in other Brothers as well."
