Phi Mu Delta Honors Trey Reichenfeld with Robert C. Lomison Outstanding Undergraduate Member Award8/13/2024
Phi Mu Delta Fraternity is proud to announce Trey Reichenfeld as the recipient of the prestigious Robert C. Lomison Outstanding Undergraduate Member Award. This honor recognizes Trey's exceptional contributions to his chapter, campus, and community as a member of the Mu Upsilon Chapter at Robert Morris University.
Named after Brother Robert C. Lomison, who served as National President from 1982 to 1990 and played a crucial role in saving the organization during challenging times, this award celebrates undergraduate members who demonstrate outstanding leadership and service. Trey, a rising senior at Robert Morris University, has exemplified Phi Mu Delta's three pillars of democracy, service, and brotherhood through his numerous involvements and achievements. Currently serving as Vice President of Member Development, Trey has previously held roles as Service Chair and a member of the Recruitment Committee, highlighting his deep commitment to his fraternity. In addition to his fraternity roles, he is the Vice President of the Actuarial Science Club, Captain of the Club Pickleball team, and has taken on lead roles in RMU's Colonial Theatre productions. As Service Chair, Trey implemented an efficient RSVP system for service events and has been actively involved in organizing and participating in community service initiatives. His dedication to helping others extends to mentoring fellow students in the Actuarial Science program, guiding them through their academic pursuits. Academically, Trey maintains a 4.0 GPA as an Actuarial Science major and is recognized as a Presidential Scholar at Robert Morris University. He has successfully passed two actuarial certification tests and is currently pursuing a third, all while gaining valuable real-world experience through internships with UPMC and Cigna. In his fraternity, Trey volunteers as a "big" in the mentorship program, where he fosters strong relationships and contributes to the chapter's familial atmosphere. His leadership and commitment serve as a role model for his brothers. Beyond academics and fraternity life, Trey is deeply involved in campus activities. He has participated in five Colonial Theatre productions, served as a FYSP mentor for honors freshmen, and represented the School of Engineering, Mathematics, and Sciences as a member of the concierge team. "Trey has consistently demonstrated a commitment to our organization and the values we represent," his nominators wrote. "Despite his busy schedule, he continues to sacrifice for the fraternity and has grown to become one of the faces of what the PMD experience is about." Trey's dedication to academic excellence, leadership, and service embodies the spirit of the Robert C. Lomison Award. His ability to balance multiple responsibilities while maintaining a perfect GPA and actively contributing to his fraternity and campus community sets a high standard for Phi Mu Delta members. "We are extremely proud of Trey's accomplishments and honored to recognize him with this award," said Sam Waltemeyer, Phi Mu Delta's Executive Director. "His commitment to our values and his tireless efforts to improve both himself and those around him exemplify the best of Phi Mu Delta." Comments are closed.
