Phi Mu Delta's Chapter at Frostburg State University Achieves Chapter of Excellence for Second Consecutive Year

Phi Mu Delta Fraternity is proud to announce that its Mu Omicron Chapter at Frostburg State University has been awarded the prestigious Chapter of Excellence distinction for the second year in a row. The chapter's outstanding performance was recognized at the annual Stars of Excellence Awards, established in 2007 to honor fraternity and sorority chapters that excel in meeting both national and university standards.

The Mu Omicron Chapter not only secured the Chapter of Excellence Award but also distinguished itself in several key areas:

1. A top performing chapter in the area of in risk management and community relations
2. Winner of the Fundraising Award, raising nearly half of the approximately $11,000 collected by all Frostburg State's fraternities and sororities combined

These achievements reflect the chapter's commitment to Phi Mu Delta's values and its dedication to making a positive impact on campus and in the community.

The Stars of Excellence Awards evaluate chapters based on rigorous criteria, including intellectual and social development, personal health and moral values growth, organizational responsibility, risk management, scholarship, community and philanthropic service, monetary donations, and chapter programming.

To maintain good standing with the Office of Student Activities and Fraternity and Sorority Life, chapters must achieve at least 80% in all aspects of university and national guidelines. The Mu Omicron Chapter's performance exceeded 90% before bonus points, securing their Chapter of Excellence status.

Founded in 2009, the Mu Omicron Chapter has initiated over 100 members and boasts an impressive 90% persistence to graduation rate among its members.

Nick Mullen, serving his second year as Chapter President, expressed pride in the chapter's accomplishments: "As a chapter president, I am very proud to watch the chapter improve on itself and become the chapter we knew it could be. I am very proud of what our guys achieved last year."
