National Scholarships

The National Scholarship Program accepts applications year-round as scholarships and grants become available.

Leadership Program Scholarships

Undergraduate Interfraternity Institute Scholarship

The Undergraduate Interfraternity Institute is a five-day, collegiate-centered, summer program which seeks to help students advance their own leadership potential while collaborating with their peers, and reshaping a positive fraternity/ sorority experience. The focus of the week is to help greek leaders better understand the impact they do have and can have during their collegiate experience. For more specific information, click here.
Requirements:
  • Demonstrate strong or developing leadership skills within your chapter and campus community.
  • Prioritize attendance at UIFI over other summer activities.
  • Maintain a positive attitude and open mind during the program and realize that what you learn at UIFI can and should be brought back to your campus so that you may inspire positive change.
​Deadline: Registration for UIFI 2019 will open in the early Spring or 2019. The application for a scholarship to attend UIFI will open mid winter, around February. 

Foundation Institute Scholarship (formerly Officer's Academy)

Each January, Phi Mu Delta Fraternity hosts the Foundation Institue (formerly Officers’ Academy). The purpose of this program is to offer nuts & bolts training to all newly elected officers. This three day training workshop provides officers with the essential tools to manage chapter operations and attain goals for the coming year. All five members of the executive board are expected to attend and we encourage chapter advisors to attend as well.
Requirements:
  • Hold one of the five officer positions on your chapter's executive board: President, VP of Membership, VP of Finance, VP of Member Development, or VP of Administration.
​Deadline: Registration for the Foundation Institute opens in the Fall of each year. The application for a scholarship to attend the Foundation Institue will open mid fall semester.

Sapphire Leadership Institute Scholarship

The Sapphire Leadership Institute is held in the off-year of each biennium, to assist all undergraduate members who are interested in learning more about leadership. This program allows participants to practice their own leadership skills in preparation for their growing role as chapter leaders. Each chapter and colony is expected to send four members to the four-day residential experience.
Requirements:
  • Participants must be an undergraduate member of a recognized chapter.
  • Demonstrate strong or developing leadership skills within your chapter and campus community.
  • Prioritize attendance at SLI over other summer activities.
  • ​Willingness to participate and reside an the full, four-day, outdoor experience, which includes sleeping in cabins.
​Deadline: Registration for Sapphire Leadership Institute opens in the Spring of each year. The application for a scholarship to attend SLI will open mid Spring semester.

NAVIGATOR Scholarship

NAVIGATOR is an elite program designed to introduce newly initiated members to the possibilities of their lifelong membership. This program runs concurrently with the Sapphire Leadership Institute and chapters/colonies are required to nominate one newly initiated member to attend.
Requirements:
  • Participants must be an undergraduate member of a recognized chapter.
  • The member must have been initiated during one of the previous two semesters.
  • Nomination and confidence from the chapter membership.
  • Willingness to be partnered with an alumnus of Phi Mu Delta who will serve as a mentor and navigator for the year following the successful completion of the program.
​Deadline: Registration for NAVIGATOR opens in the Spring of each year, at the same time as registration for SLI. The application for a scholarship to attend SLI and participate in NAVIGATOR will open mid Spring Semester.

Academic Scholarships & Grants

Textbook Scholarship

The Textbook Scholarship is awarded annually to aid collegiate members of Phi Mu Delta as they prepare to purchase the textbooks, materials, and resources they need to begin their academic year.
Requirements:
  • Applicants must be an undergraduate member of a recognized, active chapter or colony.
  • Applicants must also have substantial financial need associated with attending their institution.

​Deadline: Registration for NAVIGATOR opens in the Spring of each year, at the same time as registration for SLI. The application for a scholarship to attend SLI and participate in NAVIGATOR will open mid Spring Semester.
