Phi Mu Delta Celebrates Andrew Pyszka as Gilder Lehrman Institute's 2023 New Hampshire History Teacher of the Year

Phi Mu Delta, a leading fraternity focused on promoting high personal standards and service, is proud to announce that alum Andrew Pyszka has been awarded the prestigious title of Gilder Lehrman Institute's 2023 National History Teacher of the Year for the state of New Hampshire. 

Andrew Pyszka, who currently teaches at Goffstown High School, is an accomplished alumni of Phi Mu Delta's Nu Omicron Chapter at Keene State College. His dedication to teaching American history and inspiring students with his unique approach were key factors in securing this esteemed recognition. 

The Gilder Lehrman Institute of American History, founded in 1994 by Richard Gilder and Lewis E. Lehrman, aims to improve history education for students in grades K-12 and provide valuable resources for the public. The institute evaluates nominees based on their commitment to teaching American history, demonstration of creativity and imagination in the classroom, and effective use of primary sources like documents, artifacts, historic sites, and oral histories to engage students. 

In being honored with the National History Teacher of the Year award, Andrew Pyszka's outstanding achievements and dedication to his craft have been formally acknowledged. This distinction serves as a testament to his ability to inspire and educate students about the importance of American history, fostering a lifelong love for the subject.

Phi Mu Delta, known for its commitment to promoting high personal standards, moral values, and brotherhood, is thrilled to celebrate Andrew Pyszka's accomplishments. This recognition goes hand in hand with the fraternity's core values of encouraging its members to live the ideals of democracy, brotherhood, and service.
