Phi Mu Delta Members Join Forces to Beautify Frostburg, Maryland Through Community Clean-Up2/26/2024
FROSTBURG, MD - The Mu Omicron Chapter of Phi Mu Delta displayed their commitment to community service by organizing a successful street clean-up in Frostburg, Maryland on February 17, 2024. The chapter, along with partnering student organizations, participated in an initiative to clean designated locations on and around campus, promoting a cleaner and more environmentally friendly community.
During the clean-up event, volunteers armed with trash bags, gloves, and maps diligently picked up litter from the streets, demonstrating their dedication to making a positive difference in the local area. The collaboration with other student organizations further highlighted Phi Mu Delta's commitment to fostering relationships with fellow students and enhancing the sense of community at Frostburg State University "We are thrilled to see the participation of three other organizations joining our Frostburg chapter in this effort to beautify our surroundings and strengthen our bonds with each other," expressed Sam Waltemeyer, Executive Director of Phi Mu Delta, and 2009 graduate of Frostburg State University. "This event not only allowed our members to engage with the community but also provided a platform for them to come together as brothers and redefine the meaning of fraternity." The clean-up served as a unique opportunity for Phi Mu Delta to live out its vision of redefining fraternity by emphasizing the values of service, unity, and community engagement. As champions of positive change, the Mu Omicron Chapter aims to continue leading impactful initiatives that benefit both its members and the local Frostburg community. Since 2009, the chapter has helped more than 200 men persist to graduation at Frostburg State University with a retention rate of over 90%. Comments are closed.
